Vetmedin (pimobendan) is a Prescription-only heart medication for dogs that strengthens the heart’s pumping action and improves blood circulation throughout the body.

**Commonly used for**:

- Myxomatous mitral valve disease (MVD)
- Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM)

**Available strengths**: 1.25mg, 5mg, and 10mg tablets
